History
On September 1, 1973, Jürgen Hilß founded the company ELCOMA GmbH in Hohengehren, near Esslingen, for the sale of electronic communication systems.
Until 1975, we sold and produced handheld and car radio devices.
In 1978, the company headquarters and production were relocated to Wiernsheim.
When the car radio was slowly but increasingly replaced by the C-telephone, we faced new challenges and realized ourselves in a new field of activity. We devoted ourselves to the electrical installation of industrial plants as well as measurement and control technology. From 1980 we expanded our field to flexible automation and switch cabinet construction.
Our strength is that our customers get everything from a single source. Not only the complete electrical planning with circuit diagrams, electrical installation of the system, but also programming of the control system. A complete order from A to Z is planned and carried out by us.
In 1984, we expanded our company and built a new workshop and office building.
In 1990, we moved to our new, larger company building in Mönsheim with an office, workshop and office building.
In 1992, we expanded our range of services to include laser and safety technology.
In 2001, Andreas Hilß was appointed 2nd Managing Director. When Jürgen retired in 2015, our family business entered the second generation.
